Bless your hearts for coming this far into my page.
I'm just a woman of God with a ton of experiences to share.
This blog was birthed from my struggles with faith, family, and fitness. I started documenting my journey as a way to alleviate the anxiety that surrounded it. What was therapeutic for me became an area of connection for others. The more I shared about my life authentically, the more people felt they had in common with me. I am by no means a preacher and sometimes I even curse a little, but I have seen the way God's provisions can provide blessings beyond my wildest dreams. I am certainly no mother of the year and have yet to become a wife, but I know the work that it takes to parent while you're pulling yourself out of a pit of self sabotage. And I definitely am not a fitness guru and LOVE chocolate, but I am all too familiar with the torment of an eating disorder that steals all of your self confidence and joy. The thing about my path is that I always felt it to be a burden that needed to be dealt with in solitude. A single mom of three kids who has never been married and has struggled with childhood trauma, toxic relationships, and an eating disorder her whole life... I mean COME ON, who would want to learn from me?! Heck, most of the time I just accepted that no one had been where I was to understand what I was going through and wouldn't want to hear my mess. That's the reason I share my stories, not to be viewed as some expert, but to assure someone that they aren't alone.
As a visitor here, you are part of an authentic and caring community. I am here to encourage and support you and so are the others on this page. Our stories may not be exactly the same, but we can certainly pull each other up and dust each other off.
Thank you so much for being part of this community and page. There are plenty of ways that you can become more involved. Visit my social media pages and subscribe to the newsletter to connect with me and others who are on this journey.
The goal isn't to stay where we are and become the victim of our circumstances, but instead to share our stories of triumph so that we can be victorious and shine God's light into the world.
Love ya'll,
<3 Karey Nicole
